School of Information Science and Technology

The School of Information Science and Technology, with its four UG and five PG departments, has distinguished itself as a leading knowledge hub for technical minds. With its bright students from across the country, able Faculty members, and up-to-date research infrastructure, the School has been able to produce excellent graduates and postgraduates for the service of the Nation. Our graduates are successfully employed in government services, prestigious corporations, and top-ranked educational institutions worldwide.

The School accommodates more than 500 students in UG and PG courses. There are nine departments, namely – BCA, BSc Computer Science, BSc Computer Animation, BSc Data Analytics, MCA, MSc Software Technology, MSc Bioinformatics, MSc Data Science, and MSc Big Data Analytics. Five PG departments also offer PhD programmes.

The School has more than 40 faculty members who are engaged in research in emerging areas of Computer Networks, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Natural Language Processing, Image Processing, etc., and are carrying out many research projects & consultancies in these areas. This provides students with insight into emerging fields, along with regular curriculum updates in collaboration with industry experts, alumni, and academicians, ensuring they are prepared for the industry.   • PO3. Design/development of solutions: Develop the ability to design solutions using modern computing tools, skills, and techniques that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • PO4. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex real-time problems with an understanding of the limitations.
