Advanced Instrumentation Lab
The members of the ‘1971 GOLDEN BATCH’ of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) have
donated the Advanced Instrumentation Center consisting of high-end research
equipment to its alma mater by raising a sum of Rs One Crore and 71 Lakh as a
token of gratitude. This is a unique gesture witnessed for the first time in the
history of the University. This Advanced Instrumentation Center has come at the
right time when St Aloysius college is all set to become a Deemed to be
University in the near future.
GOLDEN BATCH OF 1971 has made the reunion special with several projects
for its Alma mater as our college is on the threshold of becoming a university
and strides with gusto into its 143rd year of glorious existence. They have not
only planned a celebration of coming together but, more importantly, have
come up with a generous thought of securing and ensuring excellence in
Research and Innovation by putting in place one of the best Advanced
Instrumentation Centres in their beloved Alma mater.
Besides this, the Alumni established “M V Nair & Venkat Endowment Fund” for the
children of police constables, by Sri M.V. Nair and Sri Venkat, proud Alumni of St Aloysius
(Deemed to be University), Mangalore. The launch of this Fund was held on 27th May 2022 in Eric Mathias
Hall of the College.
Mr Alok Kumar, ADGP (Law and order) was the Chief Guest and launched the “M V Nair
& Venkat Endowment Fund” officially.
Sri M.V. Nair is an alumni of St Aloysius College in 1971. He is the son of late M K R Nair
who served as a head constable and retired in 1980. With the help of his colleague
Venkat started the M V Nair & Venkat Endowment Fund for the children of police
constables. The duo donated Rs 1 crore through the endowment fund.
