Message from the Dean

To address contemporary challenges and navigate the growing competition in every sphere of life, research in law serves as a vital tool for finding meaningful solutions. My humble ambition is to inspire young minds to delve deeply into the study of law, grounded in our rich cultural heritage. Knowledge is power. Through knowledge, we can transform society from fear to peace.

In this era of globalisation, liberalisation, privatisation and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, legal education is undergoing a profound transformation. During this period of transition, lawyers, law students and academicians must engage in research that redefines the law to meet emerging challenges, while upholding the values of justice, equity and fairness.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all aspiring law students who have joined our vibrant community of scholars, thinkers and change-makers. At the School of Law, it is our unwavering commitment to ensure that our students excel through rigorous academic engagement, holistic learning and ethical grounding, as we prepare them to achieve success in their chosen paths.  We must never forget that service to the nation, the pursuit of justice and the preservation of humanity remain the cornerstones of our legal fraternity.

Guided by our university’s motto, “Lucet et Ardet” (Shine to Enkindle), our focus on academic excellence drives us to illuminate minds and inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators and leaders. Our vision, “Nyayena Dharyate Lokah” (The World is Sustained by Justice), continues to remind us that justice is not merely a discipline we study, but a way of life we must strive to uphold.
