NSS - St Aloysius (Deemed To Be University)

National Service Scheme (NSS) – St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) has been actively engaged in community service since its establishment in 1973. Over the years, NSS has expanded its outreach, conducting impactful programs such as blood donation camps, environmental initiatives, literacy drives, and community development projects. The NSS unit also organizes intercollegiate fests like ‘Eunoia’ at University level to promote volunteerism and leadership.

The unit has been recognized for its excellence on multiple occasions. It received the Best NSS Unit Award, and the Best NSS Officer Award was conferred at Raj Bhavan, Bangalore, in 2009-10. Several NSS volunteers have achieved prestigious honours at state and national levels, including participation in the State Republic Parade and Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. Notably, in 2024, a student from the university was selected to represent the institution at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, a remarkable achievement showcasing the dedication and calibre of NSS volunteers.

NSS organizes various camps, including half-day, one-day, annual special camps, university-level camps, and national-level camps like the National Integration Camp and National Adventure Camp.

Through dedicated efforts in service, leadership, and social responsibility, NSS at St. Aloysius continues to make a meaningful impact on both students and society, fostering a spirit of selfless contribution and national development.
