Mona Jaqueline Mendonca is Assistant Professor and Head, Department of History, School of Arts and Humanities, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, Karnataka. She earned her PhD (History) from Kannada University, Hampi. Her research explores the arrival of women missionaries in Karnataka during the late 19th century and their social impact, particularly in Coastal Karnataka. Her areas of study encompass Gender Studies, Freedom Movement, and Church History. Her articles have been published in esteemed English and Kannada journals. She is a certified Soft Skills Trainer and a motivational speaker who has conducted numerous workshops for both students and faculty members. She is currently guiding two research scholars and is frequently invited as a resource person by various universities and colleges across the country to deliver lectures on diverse topics. In February 2024, she delivered an Endowment Lecture at the 35th Karnataka History Congress, held in Kundapur, Karnataka.
