Team Havamana from Department of Journalism, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) organized a PR event on “Climate Change Awareness” on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at D.K.P.Z.P.H.P School, Ullaibettu.   
Chief Guest of the programme Mark Richard Pereira spoke about global warming and its impact. ”Global warming has impacted today’s world and the increased temperature has led to many problem ecologically“.
“Deforestation due to urbanization is one of the main reasons for the consequences that the humans are facing. The importance of planting tree’s to protect the ecosystem and for a better future for all should be the top priority. The importance of reducing plastic usage, proper disposal of plastic waste, and recycling of plastic are some ways to protect the environment”, he added. 

Primary students were involved in an interactive session and put across their thoughts and idea’s regarding climate change.

Wencita Dias compered the programme and Darwin Alwaris proposed the vote of thanks. Gangadhar, Headmaster, Moulana Azad English Medium School, Janet Roche, Headmistress of D.K.Z.P.H.P School, Chethan Koppa, teacher of the school were present. Organisers Ancita D’Costa, Riona Alita D’Souza and Vinay Sudheendra were also present.
