Department of Renewable Energy Management

The Department of Renewable Energy Management is dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions through a comprehensive curriculum. It equips students with foundational knowledge essential for renewable energy technologies, covering Basic Electronics, Basic Physics, Solar Energy, Thermal Energy, and Bio Energy.

Basic Electronics introduces circuit theory and electronic devices, crucial for managing systems like solar panels and wind turbines. Basic Physics provides an understanding of mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism, forming the scientific basis for energy management.

The Solar Energy course focuses on photovoltaic systems, solar thermal energy, and project design. Thermal Energy covers heat generation and management technologies, including geothermal and solar thermal systems.

Bio Energy explores converting biological materials into energy, discussing biofuels, biogas, and biomass technologies. The department aims to produce graduates ready to address the challenges of sustainable energy production, fostering innovation and environmental stewardship in the energy sector.

Industrial Visit  -  21/02/2024

On 21/02/2024 , the students from B.Voc Retail management,  B.Voc  Food Processing and Engineering visited Cocoa Rich Agri LLP in Ganjimata and Whitegrove Agri LLP in Vamanjoor, as part of Industrial visit. Mr Sharath Shetty, Mr Dilsun L Dsouza and Ms Albi Thomas accompanied the students. 54 students visited these industries.
