The Department of Computer Science & Data Science, under the School of Information Science and Technology, organized an engaging Alumni Interaction session on 26th July 2025 (Saturday) at the Xavier Auditorium from 10:50 AM to 12:00 PM.
This interactive session was part of the department's ongoing efforts to connect current students with accomplished alumni who can share their academic and industry experiences. The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Raoul Samuel Noronha, an alumnus of the department and currently working as a Trainee (Analytics) at Tech Mahindra Ltd, Bengaluru.
Mr. Raoul inspired the audience with his academic journey and professional experiences in the field of analytics. He discussed the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and the evolving role of data science in various industries. He conducted a resume-building segment, for crafting impactful resumes. He also demonstrated some of his projects, offering the students a practical perspective on how to present and document their work for both academic and professional settings. His session highlighted practical career insights, the expectations of the industry, and tips on how students can prepare themselves for future opportunities.
A total of 70 students actively participated in the session, making it a valuable learning experience that bridged academic knowledge with industry practices. The interaction not only motivated the students but also strengthened the alumni bond with the institution.
