Mind Mapping and Emotional Well-being Sessions Engage School of Engineering Students

July 22, 2025: As part of the ongoing induction program at the School of Engineering, students participated in two insightful sessions aimed at strengthening both cognitive and emotional foundations for academic and personal success.

Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of P.A. First Grade College, Mangalore, delivered an engaging session titled “Unlocking Hidden Power Through Mind Mapping.” He introduced students to the technique of mind mapping as a powerful tool for organizing thoughts, enhancing memory, and fostering creativity. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, he showed how structured thinking can improve problem-solving and boost academic performance.

The second session was conducted by Ms. Charlen A. Rebimbus, Chair of Counselling and Health Sciences, and Ms. Delilah Valerie, Counsellor at the University. Their talk focused on emotional well-being, the importance of self-awareness, and the value of seeking support. Through a blend of theory, reflection, and discussion, the session encouraged students to build resilience, manage stress, and adopt a proactive approach to mental health.

Together, both sessions offered a strong foundation for students to navigate the academic journey with clarity, confidence, and care.
