Guest talk - St Aloysius (Deemed To Be University)

Evlogia Labs Founder Inspires St Aloysius Engineering Students on National Entrepreneurship Day

MANGALURU, NOVEMBER 12: The School of Engineering, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) hosted an inspiring guest talk on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, to mark National Entrepreneurship Day. The event, held at the Robert Sequira Hall, LCRI, featured Mr. Ethan Kiran Dsouza, the Founder of Evlogia Labs Pvt. Ltd., as the keynote speaker.

The session was organized to motivate students to embrace creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset as essential tools for success. Mr. Dsouza shared his personal journey, candidly discussing his early struggles. He revealed that it took his first company two years to earn its first five-figure income in Indian rupees, emphasizing that growth in entrepreneurship is gradual but deeply rewarding.

"Success depends on building systems, maintaining consistency, and choosing the right people to work with," Mr. Dsouza stated, encouraging students to stay persistent and view challenges as stepping stones. He championed a "do-it-yourself" approach, urging the audience to act rather than wait for the perfect moment. A memorable highlight was his quote, "10,000 hours creates a perfect man," reinforcing the values of relentless practice and dedication.

In a significant gesture that energized the students, Mr. Dsouza offered to personally fund and support a student's idea if it showed potential to solve a real-world problem. As a direct follow-up, students were invited to submit their proposals to Dr. Ruban, Dean of the School of Engineering, within one week for review and potential backing from Mr. Dsouza himself.

The event began with a prayer song from the college choir and was compered by Ms. Madiha Fathima. A lively Q&A session concluded the talk. Faculty coordinators Mr. Mohammed Siraj and Dr. Geetha Pinto organized the event. Mr. Thejas Jagadeesh delivered the formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Mr. Dsouza and all attendees for the impactful session.
