On April 29, 2023, the Department of Commerce at St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, hosted an engaging guest talk on "Entrepreneurial Opportunities in the Stock Broking Business." Held in the Aruppe Block, AV Room, the seminar aimed to shed light on the various stock trading options available in today's market. 

The session was led by Mr. Rohith Karkada, a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience in financial advisory and stock trading. Mr. Karkada provided a comprehensive overview of entrepreneurial opportunities within the stock market. He discussed various avenues such as becoming a franchisee of a reputed broking firm and establishing a financial education and training institute. He also highlighted the pros and cons of these opportunities and the high-demand services in the industry. His insights included the intricacies of buying and selling shares, marketing strategies, and effective methods for studying charts and graphs to enhance trading skills.

Mr. Karkada’s presentation was highly interactive, addressing numerous questions from the attendees and providing practical advice on leveraging stock market opportunities. The session not only clarified the risks and rewards associated with stock trading but also informed students about various platforms for further knowledge. The department looks forward to organizing more such educational talks to provide valuable learning experiences to students.
