The Department of Commerce organised a guest Talk on the topic Challenges and opportunities in HR on 16th March 2024 in Sanidhya, Admin Block at 10.45 am. The resource person was Ms Haniya Rhea Dsouza, who is currently working as HR manager in one of the prominent Construction company in UAE.Ms Haniya is Alumna of St Aloysius College, now known as St Aloysius (Deemed to be University). The guest talk started with a welcome address by Ms Janvi, Student of Final B.com. The resource person provided insights into the role and significance of HR management in modern organizations, emphasizing its crucial function in driving organizational success. She discussed various challenges faced by HR professionals in today's dynamic business environment, including talent acquisition, retention, diversity, and inclusion, amidst technological advancements and global competition. The presenter highlighted the vast opportunities available in the field of HR, ranging from talent management and employee engagement to organizational development and strategic planning. She encouraged students to explore diverse career paths within HR and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development. The Guest talk ended with vote of thanks which was delivered by Mr Ayaz, student of Final year B.com. The session ended at 11.45 am. A total of 71 students from Final B.com were the participants for the guest Talk. Ms Poojari Nisha Gopal was the staff Coordinator for the guest talk organised.
