Assistant Prof. Stage - II
Dr. Reji P. John, an Assistant Professor of Economics in the School School of Arts & Humanities at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore. With over 10 years of extensive teaching and research experience, Dr John is dedicated to advancing the fields of Econometrics, Development Economics, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistics. His pedagogical expertise spans both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, where he leads dynamic courses in Economics, Corporate Psychology and various interdisciplinary studies. Dr John holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Economics from Mangalore University, where his academic research has focused on critical issues in public health, particularly in the field of health economics. He also secured a Master of Arts in Applied Economics along with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Economics, Journalism and English Major from St Aloysius College (Autonomous). His strong academic foundation is complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and several specialized certifications including R Programming, SPSS, Jamovi and Analysis of Inter-Group Disparities. Beyond academia, Dr John has made significant contributions through published books on Statistics for Economics and Business Statistics as per the NEP syllabus, and through a range of impactful research publications in reputed journals. He is also actively involved in minor research projects funded by UGC, exploring the intersection of culture and healthcare. Dr John's roles extend into administrative and developmental spheres at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University). He has coordinated numerous cells such as International Collaboration Cell, Employability Skills Courses, Youth Red Cross and the Students Internship. He is a co-founder of two consultancy firms, Oikos Statistical Consultancy and Tech Growth Academy and is developing a new initiative, MediStatIn Solutions, emphasizing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to applied economics & Health Care.
