The PG Departments of St Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangaluru, organized an Interdepartmental Cultural Extravaganza for the students of PG Courses on 26th February 2024 in Mother Teresa Peace Park.

Ms Anvitha Sagar, Cine Actress, was the Chief Guest. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, Vice Chancellor in-charge of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, Dr Alwyn DSa, Registrar & Controller of Examinations, Rev Fr Vincent J Pinto SJ, Finance Officer, Dr Loveena Lobo, Director, Maffei Block, Dr Ronald Nazareth, Director LCRI block, Dr P P Sajimon, Dean of PG Studies, Mr Jeesu George, Chief Coordinator of Sangam, Mr Mohammed Thouseef P., Assistant Coordinator, Mr Prithviraj and Sr Jovita Tellis, Students Coordinators were present on the dais.

Ms Anvitha Sagar in her inaugural address shared her experience as an artiste. She spoke about the importance of success and its journey. She pointed out the fact that short-cuts to success may not last for a long time. She also shared the ups and downs she had faced before becoming successful in her career. Finally, she urged the students to respect their parents and teachers and give back something to their Alma Mater.

Rev. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, the vice chancellor in charge, in his speech congratulated the PG Departments for organizing such a wonderful event. He said that the students should work with determination and passion to reach their goals. He also stressed the importance of trees and greenery for a healthy atmosphere, since most of us live in the jungle of buildings now-a-days. 
Many meritorious students were awarded with MJES Scholorships for their excellence in education during the inaugural ceremony.

On account of Sangam, several events like Wealth out of Waste, Rangoli, Debate, Folk Dance, Creative Writing, General Quiz, Group Singing, Photography, Collage and sports events such as Shuttle Badminton, Volleyball, Throwball were held spread over a period of 9 days. A variety entertainment programme followed the inaugural. 

Mr Kashyap compered the programme. Mr Jeesu George welcomed the gathering, while Mohammed Thouseef proposed the vote of thanks.
