REPORT ON ALUMNI INTERACTION SERIES - SESSION 1

The Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics hosted an online alumni interaction session on August 8, 2023, at 11am in LCRI 401. Attended by 35 students, the event featured Ms. Mereena Joseph, (2018-2020 batch)who is a Junior Data Scientist at Ernst & Young. She provided valuable insights into essential skills for career advancement and diverse prospects in the Data Science field. The session offered an enriching platform for students to gain knowledge about potential growth and opportunities in the industry.

In conclusion, the online session provided a platform for meaningful exchange between an accomplished alumna and current students. It not only shed light on the skills required for professional advancement but also broadened students' understanding of the diverse opportunities presented by a career in Data Science. The Department's alumni interaction series continues to prove its significance in facilitating such knowledge-sharing endeavors.
