REPORT ON ALUMNI INTERACTION SERIES SESSION 4

The Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics organized a dynamic online alumni interaction session on February 10, 2024, at 11:00 am. Attended by 46 students, the event provided a platform for engaging discussions on the diverse career paths stemming from a foundation in mathematics.

A highlight of the session was the insightful discourse by Ms. Nirmala Shron Paul, a distinguished alumna and currently a Fellow at Teach for India in Bengaluru, India. Ms. Paul shared her experiences, shedding light on the role of mathematical acumen in various professional arenas, particularly in education and social impact sectors.

Throughout the session, attendees had the opportunity to explore the multifaceted applications of mathematics in careers spanning finance, technology, academia, and beyond. Interactive exchanges and shared anecdotes enriched the conversation, inspiring students to envision their own trajectories in the field.
