Department of KONAKNI
KONKANI Dept is started in the year 1995. With the guidance of former principal Rev. Fr. Prashanth Madtha SJ, who is a visionary person, the department was established with the wish to nurture the mother tongue of coastal people irrespective of religion.
Yes, Konkani language is a pride that Hindu, Muslim, and Christian people speak as their mother tongue. Getting education in the mother tongue is supported by NEP 2020, and our visionary's dreamt of this very long back.
The motto of the institution “shine and burn” emphasizes “Excellence” and the ultimate goal is to be ‘men and women for others’ using the knowledge and skills in discharging their duties as worthy citizens of India.
