About the Department
Established in 1986, the Department of Electronics has a strong legacy of academic excellence and skill-oriented education. The department offers a well-structured and continuously updated curriculum that begins at the grassroots level, building a strong foundation in core concepts while integrating the latest developments and applications in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Emphasis is placed on experiential learning through well-equipped, modern laboratories and skill-enhancing experiments, supported by a team of qualified and well-trained faculty members. Students benefit from guided projects throughout the course, individual mentoring, and a healthy staff–student rapport, with special academic support provided through remedial education for slow learners and enrichment opportunities for high achievers.
Holistic development is further encouraged through seminars, quizzes, internships, and training in employment and financial skills. The vibrant Electronics Club promotes extracurricular engagement through hobby electronics, project building, exhibitions, and subject fests.
Guided by its vision to empower youth with knowledge, innovation, and social responsibility, and inspired by the Jesuit tradition of being “men and women for and with others,” the department strives to produce technically proficient, ethically grounded graduates equipped to meet the demands of dynamic fields such as telecommunications, robotics, nanoelectronics, and software–hardware integration.
