Webinar - Morphotype, Diversity, Dispersal and Significance of Fungi

The department of Botany organised a webinar on the topic “Morphotype, Diversity, Dispersal and Significance of Fungi” for the students of St Aloysius College (Autonomous).  The resource person of the guest talk was Dr Syed Abrar, Head of the department of Botany Khaja Banda Nawaz University, Kalaburagi. He gave an insight on history, macrofungal diversity such as mushroom, bracket fungi, bird nest fungi, new macrofungal findings in and around Western Ghats, research perspectives and experience, application of fungi etc.  The talk was held September 9, 2023 at Sanidhya hall, St Aloysius College (Autonomous). Miss Sudha of I BSc enriched the webinar with her prayer song.  The guest talk was compered by Ms Akshitha and Ms Shilpa, HOD of Botany welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. The session was concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Miss Anamika of III BSc.
