Research & Development
 Synthesizing, identifying and processing of the experiments as per the specific objective of the research study.

Significant Highlights
 Conducted several PI (Process Improvement) Initiatives, thereby leading to significant savings in terms of cost,
complexity and environmental impact.
 Managed a team for introducing several high value new products into Sigma-Aldrich Catalog such as 4-
Vinylbenzocyclobutene, Several Air Sensitive Isocyanates, Silyl Compounds and Electronic Products viz. 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8 - Octafluoroanthraquinone and several of it’s Anthracene Derivatives.

 Topic of Research: ‘A Correlation Study on Spectroscopic and Chemical Bond Parameters of some N-Chloro and
Other Substituted Amides’
Scope of Research
The thesis presented and discussed the preparation of a number of Disubstituted Benzenesulponamides and their
corresponding N-Chloro Compounds. They are further characterised by recording their IR, NMR and NQR Spectra. This
involved the study of the effect of various groups in the Benzene ring on the release of Cl+ in N-Chloro Compounds,
Kinetic Studies on the Oxidation of Glycine, L-Alanine and Dimethyl Sulphoxide by some N-Chloro Compounds in
Aqueous Acidic medium.

 3 years with Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited as Senior Research Fellowship.
 Sponsored Kaiga Research Project Title: Chemical Analysis of Water Characteristics Relevant to the Kaiga
Atomic Power Project.
 This project focused on analysis of various chemical and biological parameters in water samples used for
the cooling of nuclear reactors.

 Distinction of being awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) at Mangalore University to carry out Doctoral
Research in the Department of Post Graduate and Research in Chemistry leading to Ph.D Degree.
