Department of Computer Applications (PG)
The MCA is a rigorous Two-year program designed with the primary goal of imparting a uniquely broad, yet intensive IT education of the highest academic quality. This is achieved through an integrated curriculum that consists of a highly diverse set of IT courses, interdisciplinary IT research projects, continuous interaction with industry, and personality development courses. The aim of the MCA program is to produce leaders for the IT industry and profession.
MCA at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) has been started in the year 1999. Continuous advances in technology have resulted in an explosion in the range and nature of computer applications, which today includes societal, scientific, industrial and financial applications. Naturally this explosion has led to a phenomenal growth in the demand for software professionals. The syllabus has been revisited periodically. In the newly proposed scheme, the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been introduced to give better choices to the students in technology domains.
