Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU is World’s Largest Public University & a Central University under Ministry of Education, Government of India which began in 1987 with a purpose of providing distance education to individuals belonging to different remote locations and backgrounds throughout India. IGNOU has its study centres spread across the country in order to facilitate the students opting for studies under the open university. ST ALOYSIUS (Deemed to be University) is proud to be a host institution for this initiative as we along with IGNOU, promote the idea of 'Reaching Education to the Unreachable'. We are one of the largest study centres of IGNOU under Regional Centre Bengaluru jurisdiction with an intake of around 1300+ learners per year, all through correspondence learning mode.
