My academic interests lie in exploring diverse areas within cultural studies and popular culture, with a keen focus on interdisciplinary discussions that integrate art, literature, and culture. I am also particularly interested in engaging with field-oriented studies that intersect history, literature, and cultural narratives, fostering dynamic and critical perspectives in research and pedagogy.

Kasaragod

One semester teaching experience under NCWEB (Non- Collegiate Women’s Education Board)
of University of Delhi from 27-8-2024 to 16-12-2023.

My present research area include the representation of Muziris, an ancient trade port from
Kerala, in the context of the pre and post Pattanam excavations followed by a critical enquiry
into the ways in which intervention of modern day discourses like archaeology and art have
altered the domains of representing diverse aspects of Kerala history. Other areas of interests are
gulf migration literature, Diaspora literature and Indian literatures in translation. Pursuing a
career in any of the above mentioned area of interest can help to enhance and prove my research
skills.

Published a paper titled “Redrawing the contours of diaspora representations: with special
implication to Gulf migrants from Kerala” in the GRFDT Research Monograph Series,
September 2017 issue dated November 9, Vol.3. ISSN-2454-3675.
Published an article titled “Pattanam as Muziris: a new landscape for (re)imagining Kerala” in
International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR), an international open access
peer-reviewed, refereed journal, April 2024, vol. 11, no.2.

Paper titled “Narrative voices of Malayali Labour diasporas’ from Gulf: As a launching of
counter Stereotyping” was included in the conference proceedings of National Conference on
Receding Boundaries: Transnational Spaces, Nation and Representation in South Asian Diaspora
held in Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram - Date: 10 th to 11 th December 2015.


Paper titled “Diasporas of Denial: with special focus on ‘Labour Diasporas’ from Kerala to Gulf”
was included in the conference proceedings of National Seminar conducted by St. Aloysius
College on the topic “Dislocation, Identities, Multiculturalism and the Diaspora.” - Date:
February 24, 2016.

Presented a paper as part of a National workshop organized under the UGC- SAP Programme,
Institute of English, University of Kerala on Kerala’s Cultural History. The title of my paper was
“Muziris: caught up in the multiple voices of narratives on Identity building.” Date – 14 th to 19 th
March 2016.

knowledge and culture conducted by Global Research Forum on Diaspora and Transnationalism
(GRFDT). My paper was titled, “Redrawing the contours of Diaspora representations: with
