Research Publications

·         Published a research paper titled "Reimagining Folk Media: How Bhutakola Serves as an Effective Ritual Folk Medium of Communication in South India" in Media Asia (Scopus) with the DOI: https://doi.org/10.1080/01296612.2025.2462331.

·         Presented a paper on the topic " The Role of Folk Media in Participatory Communication for Cultural Promotion: A Case Study of Bhutharadhane "at the National Seminar themed Media, Culture, and Technology: Mapping the Socio-Political Architecture" on March 1 and 2, 2024.

·         Presented a paper entitled "Print Media Coverage, its Influence on Public Awareness of Environment Issues and Remedies: A Case Study on Male Koylu Abiyana by Udayavani Daily" at the international conference held on 28^th and 29^thFebruary 2020 by the Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication, Alvas College, Moodbidre. 

·         Presented a paper titled "Social Media Dependency: Analysis of Urban Youth" in the two-day UGC-sponsored national conference on social sciences and social development held at St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, on February 12 and 13, 2016.

• Attended a state-level workshop on "Hyperlocal media operations and sustainability" on December 29, 2023, at SDM College, Ujire.
• Attended Five-day online international workshop on "Research methodology in social sciences" between December 4th and 8th, 2023, organised by the School of Liberal Arts and Humanities, Woxen University, Hyderabad, India, and the Centre for Excellence-Anthropology of Research and Ethics Studies.
• Participated in one week National-level faculty development Programme on “Transformation in Indian Education through NewEducation Policy: Challenges and Opportunities” from July 5 to11 July 2021, organised by the Government First Grade College for Women,Balmatta, Mangaluru, in association with St. Aloysius College(Autonomous), Mangaluru.

•       Attended a 21-day theatre work shop in Nisaam Hegudu in May 2014.

Attended a one-day national seminar of PR REPRISE 2022 organised by REPUTATION TODAY at Taj Bengaluru on January 20, 2023.

Participated as a rapporteur in a one-day workshop on the redesign of the curriculum for media education on March 30, 2023, at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Shimoga.

Attended 19th Annual / 5th International Science Fiction Online Conference 2020 Jointly Organised by Bangalore University & Indian Association for Science Fiction from 7-9, December 2020.
