Bhavya Shetty holds a B.A. and M.S. in Communication from Canara Degree College, Mangalore University and Garden city College, Bangalore University respectively. She has cleared NET in 2021. Bhavya has been teaching a wide range of journalism classes using up-to-date teaching learning methodologies and course material. Trained as a theatre artiste, She completed the UGC Minor Research titled, “The Growth and Challenges faced by Tulu Plays in Mangalore: A Study of the Industry and an Audience Perspective.” She has directed a play Agni Varna for Dramatics Club and the play won the 1st Place in District Level and Divisional Level and 2nd Place at State Level Competition organised by Kannada Samstrti Elake, Government of Karnataka.

Bhavya’s media industry experience includes being a staff writer and Promo Programmer in ETV Kannada, Hyderabad where she worked on daily fiction programmes, weekly fiction generic promos and non–fiction promos.
