About

I am a dedicated Food Science Professional, Nutritionist, and Educator with over 5 years of experience in academia, research, and clinical nutrition. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in Food Science at St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, I am passionate about advancing food science education and research while mentoring future professionals. Alongside my teaching role, I am pursuing my Ph.D. at the same institution, further deepening my expertise in food science and nutrition.

With a strong academic foundation, including an M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition from Mangalore University and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Kannur University, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to my work. My professional journey includes leadership roles such as Head of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), where I oversaw curriculum development, research initiatives, and quality assurance in food safety. My hands-on experience as a Dietitian at La Belle Body Care and British Biologicals honed my skills in personalized nutrition counseling, dietary planning, and chronic disease management.
