About

Dr. Swarnalatha B.N. serves as an Associate Professor in the Post Graduate Department of
Biochemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Mangalore University (2018), with
research expertise in molecular mechanisms of thyroid hormone secretion and metabolic
syndrome. She has led multiple research projects, including a UGC-funded Minor Research
Project (2013-15) on the interrelationship between thyroid function and metabolic syndrome
and an ongoing MJES-funded project on the efficacy of green and chemically synthesized
nanoparticles on biofilm formation. She is also involved in guiding the students for project
works.
