Assistant Prof. Stage - II
Flying Officer Dr Alwyn Stephen Misquith an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics with over 10 years of experience in teaching and research. Dr Alwyn has completed his PhD in Economics in the year 2024 from Mangalore University. Apart from his academic work, he had the privilege of organizing various department fests and study tours, filed study programs, guest talks, conferences, workshops and EDP's, contributing to the dynamic campus environment.
Flying Officer Dr Alwyn also serves as an Associate NCC Officer of NCC Air Wing at the college which is enrolled under 6 KARNATAKA AIR SQN NCC, Mangalore, where he works to instill discipline and leadership qualities in cadets.Dr Alwyn has been awarded with the prestigious DG NCC Commendation Card for outstanding service in NCC by DG NCC India for the year 2023.
Dr Alwyn has completed one minor research project funded by MJES for Rs 50,000. He has presented 13 research papers in national and international conferences and has 15 publications for his credit out which 6 are published in the UGC care list journals. He has delivered 7 guest lectures on the topics such as leadership skills, motivation, study skills, career guidance, awareness on drug abuse etc.Dr Alwyn has served as Animator of YCS/YSM for 5 years.
Dr Alwyn also holds the Amateur Wireless Telegraph Station Licence (Restricted Grade), with the call sign VU3FKU issued by the Government of India Ministry of Communications. Department of Telecommunications, New Delhi. He is also a member of MARC. Through both his teaching and extracurricular involvement, he strives to create a comprehensive and enriching experience for all his students.
