The LL.B (Honours) program at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) is a rigorous and intellectually enriching three-year law degree designed to equip graduates with profound legal knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and a deep sense of justice. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of excellence and service, the curriculum offers a comprehensive blend of foundational, core, and specialized legal subjects. Students begin their journey with vital courses such as Constitutional Law, Family Law, Law of Torts, Contracts, and Administrative Law, and progress into deeper philosophical and procedural aspects through subjects like Jurisprudence, Interpretation of Statutes, Environmental Law, and the newly introduced Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). The program also offers students the option to specialize in either Constitutional Law or Business Law through a carefully curated Honours stream, with topics ranging from Citizenship & Immigration, Comparative Constitutions, and Gender Justice to Banking Law, Investment Law, and Competition Law.

In keeping with modern legal demands, the curriculum integrates emerging fields such as Cyber Law & AI, Media & Law, Health Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, and Information Technology. Students gain hands-on experience through drafting and pleading exercises, moot court sessions, client counselling, and internships, which are thoughtfully embedded within the program. As a culmination, students engage in independent legal research through a dissertation, fostering original thought and policy insight. Delivered through expert faculty, a vibrant academic atmosphere, and state-of-the-art facilities—including a fully equipped law library and immersive moot court environment—this program develops not just lawyers, but leaders of conscience, clarity, and conviction, ready to shape the future of justice in India and beyond.
