Department of Bioinformatics (PG)
The Bioinformatics Department is dedicated to Training Programs and Projects on Bio Marker Discovery, Next Generation Sequence Analysis and computational immunology and immunomics.
The current batch consists of 29 students, while last year's batch, comprising 9 students, is currently undergoing internships in the industry.
The curriculum is designed to provide expertise in computational tools, supported by two Bioinformatics faculty members and additional faculty from the IT department.

1 ) Mr Harshit Sajal worked as a Bioinformatics Research Intern under the guidance of Dr Seema Mishra at the University of Hyderabad on the project, titled "Carmofur for Glioblastoma: Structural, Quantitative, and Energetic Analysis of Acid Ceramidase Inhibitors with Molecular Modeling and Machine Learning," focused on investigating Carmofur as a therapeutic agent for glioblastoma. |

1 ) Abhiksha Shetty (24251201) First year MSc Bioinformatics student made oral presentation on the selected abstract topic titled “Exploring the Interaction Landscape of WSSV VP28- Antibody: Computational and Molecular Perspectives” at INDIA NETHERLANDS collaborative Program SPARCS on 20th March 2025 2)Harshit Sajal, second year MSc Bioinformatics student selected as an IASC-INSA- NASI Summer Research Fellow- 2024, a prestigious fellowship program jointly organized by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy, and National Academy of Sciences, India.
