Department of Political Science 

The Department of Political Science was established in the year 1959. It aims to create an atmosphere of academic excellence among students of the department and help develop the abilities of faculty members.

Students are encouraged to read literature pertaining to Political Theory, Processes, Management, International Relations and Public Administration. The department makes use of visual aids, conducts exposure visits, Panel Discussions, Group Discussions, Seminars and Paper Presentations.

Efforts are made to help the students improve argumentative and writing abilities. Computer learning is encouraged by group activities. The department in collaboration with NGO and other bodies organizes national seminars / workshops related to current political issues.
