St. Aloysius College is the first ever college to introduce computer animation subjects at undergraduate level at Mangalore University level.
The department of computer animation was established in 2009 with a view to provide technical education to B.A. and B.Sc. students. It is a sub-division of Department of Computer Science and Applications which features a well equipped computer lab and dedicated & experienced faculty members.
The department conducts seminars and workshops on latest computer technologies, new trends in animation, software oriented workshops in collaboration with Department of Computer Science and Applications. Resource persons from industries and other colleges are invited as guest lecturers.
The course is spread across 6 semesters. It is designed in such a way that it helps the students to make a successful career in the field of animation. Classes are conducted using ICT technology and due importance is given to theory as well as practicals.
This course is also a good choice for students interested in visual arts, painting, computers graphics, animation and internet related technologies.
