The Department  Botany UG is a recognized as a Centre for Research in Bioscience under Tumukur University since 2013. Dr K.V Nagalakshamma is recognized as Ph.D  Presently two PhD scholars from Tumkur University College  are pursuing their doctoral studies since 2013. The Department is also Under Star College scheme DPT.
