The inauguration of The Aloysian Fest 2020 was held on 30th of January 2020 at 9:00 a.m in the Mother Theresa Peace Park.  

Mr. Gurukiran Shetty, a renowned music director was the Chief Guest and Mr. Kishore Alva, President of ADANI groups was the Guest of Honour. Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vas SJ presided over the function.

Principal, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ., Controller of Examinations & Registrar in-charge, Dr Alwyn D’Sa, Dr Ratan Tilak Mohunta, Coordinator, Dr Ishwar Bhat, Assistant Cooordinator, Directors of various blocks, Dr Dennis Fernandes, Fr Pradeep Anthony SJ, Dr Richard Gonsalves, Dr John Edward D'silva and Lloyd Vineeth Sequeira, the President of Students' Council were present on the dais.

The fest was inaugurated by switching the lights on by the honored guests and the dignitaries on the dais. Mr. Gukukiran Shetty declared the fest open after which the choir sang the theme song which was composed by the students. The assistant student coordinators of all the fests walked towards the gathering with the trophies escorted by the Joint Secretary Melnitha Correa and subsequently the trophies were unveiled.
With the words, “It’s not just working hard. It’s about being happy in life,” the Chief Guest expressed his delight over the fest and went on to sing the beautiful song - ‘Roop tera mastana.’

Mr. Kishore Alva, an alumnus of St Aloysius College and the former President of Students’ Council shared his words of wisdom and stories from his college days.

The Principal, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ spoke of the importance of taking the right action at the right time. Rev. Fr Dionysius Vas SJ wished the students all the very best for the competitions.

Ms Lavita compered the programme. Mr. Ratan Mohunta, Convener of Aloysian Fest welcomed the gathering. Students’ Council President, Mr. Lloyd Vineeth Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks.
